Chris Meder
Chris began working as a mountain guide in 2007 for International Mountain Guides. Sharing and enabling the experience of the mountains with others has driven that passion. He guides primarily on Mount Rainier, and also in the Cascades, Patagonia, Tanzania, Antarctica, Mexico, and Nepal. A love of travel and mountain life have also taken him on trips throughout much of the western U.S., Canada, France, New Zealand, Korea and Thailand.

Chris's interest in photography grew out of a deep desire to share his mountain and travel experiences with people in a meaningful way. Photography has become a vehicle not only for expression and communication, but also for his own exploration and discovery of place and core experience. At home in the Cascades, Chris enjoys the anticipation of discovery, and loves exploring new places just to see what is over the next ridge.

Since 1992 Adam Angel has worked extensively in the Washington Cascades, Alaska, Mexico, Ecuador, Russia, Peru, Mongolia, Argentina, Tanzania, Nepal and Tibet. His work as a photographer, climbing guide, trip director, and instructor has gathered a loyal following who gravitate towards Adam's unique ability to share authentic experiences though Fine Art Prints, the collection of objets d'art, and the experience itself.

Adam splits his time between Sun Valley and Mount Rainier where he produces photographic prints for himself and the Kalākora Society (as well as
MountainguideBook.com). He consults on many aspects of photography and is a lead guide at the world famous International Mountain Guides. His safety record in the mountains is perfect and his success rate is very high. He is the only Rainier guide since 1974 to successfully guide a "high level circumnavigation" of Mount Rainier.

The presentation of photographic prints is equally important to Adam, and has led him to design spaces and systems for the presentation of art, culminating with the opening of Kalākora Gallery and the Ange/Smi+)( Gallery Hanging System.
